Privacy Policy

Effective October 6, 2026

• No data collection. Louise has no analytics, advertising or tracking, and does not send your conversations, voice or personal data to us or to third parties.
• The AI runs on your device. Louise's language models run on your iPhone or Mac. Your messages are processed there and nowhere else.
• Conversations. Your chats are stored on your device, encrypted with a key kept in your device's Keychain. Delete a chat and it's gone.
• Microphone and speech. Louise uses the microphone only when you start talking to her. Speech is recognized and spoken on the device.
• Downloading models and voices. When you choose a model or voice, Louise downloads it from its public host (such as Hugging Face or GitHub). Like any download, that server sees your device's internet address. Nothing about you or your chats is sent.
• Web (off until you turn it on). With the web switch on, Louise can search the web through DuckDuckGo, open web pages and check the weather through Open-Meteo. The search words and the page addresses go to those services from your own connection, just as if you looked them up yourself. No account and no identifier are sent.
• Location. Only with the web switch on, and only if you allow it, Louise uses your location for "near me" questions and the weather. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
• Children. Louise is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
• Changes. If this policy changes, for example if an optional online service is added, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date before that change reaches the app.
